After a long weekend full of work, hubby came home from the theater after wrapping up the first weekend of his show at North Central College and declared it was date night AND I get to pick the restaurant. I have been dying to try this Ethiopian place Addis Abeba. It was awesome!
Our mesob full of Yemiser wot (spicy red lentils), Yeater Kik Wot (yellow peas cooked in garlic, cloves, and cinnamon), Kinche (wheat pilaf), and Doro tibs (chicken in Ethiopian herb butter).
No utensils in Ethiopian cuisine. You scoop everything up with a spongy flat bread called injera.
So glad Mike liked it and said he would go again. I love this food!
After dinner we raced around EvanstonSkokie trying to see Inception but it was sold out everywhere! We’ll try again this weekend. I hear it is great.
