Yesterday was insanely hot and the last thing I wanted to do was turn on the oven to make dinner because it would be 100 degrees in our kitchen in 10 minutes. We were having our friend Paul over for dinner and I planned a menu that could all be thrown on the grill.
Zucchini and squash, potatoes, corn on the cob…
With Lamb kabobs! Nom nom!
I also cut up an especially juicy watermelon and a loaf of country french bread that was still warm out of the oven when I picked it up from the market. I wanted to eat outside but it was just too hot!
Paul brought the wine and made dessert, which was also made on the grill. Grilled bananas with caramel rum sauce anyone?
Served with vanilla Haagen-Dazs!
