I had a total carnivore moment last night. I came across this pair of filets at the market and snatched them up, along with a bottle of cabernet.
Marinade (for two steaks)
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
teaspoon of Dijon mustard
garlic salt
Herbes de Provence
salt and pepper
tablespoon of EVOO
Mix all ingredients and let steaks marinate.
Steamed green beans with just a little salt and pepper and Earth Balance.
I placed the steaks on the broiler on high for a few minutes on each side, then finished them in an oven at 350 for about 10 minutes. They turned out a perfect medium rare.
Add a baked sweet potato, Hubby had a russet. Yum!
